new york cares

I just wanted to let you guys know, since it has slipped under the radar of most news coverage today, that the New York County (Manhattan) Supreme Court has delivered a most excellent judgment today, essentially stating that no matter how other parts of the country feel, that the history of NY State and its treatment towards gays and lesbians cannot allow it, with good conscience, to continue denying them marriage licenses. We always go first.

Read the decicion here.

About fucking time. Let's hope it sticks, huh? See: most people with a God shaped chip on their shoulders and a leaning toward dogmatic tendencies, feel that homosexuals getting married will spark a cultural revolution of sorts. And I agree. The sooner we can get over this whole petty prejudice thing, the sooner we can work on getting universal healthcare and education. Cause you KNOW that wont happen before then. (YES, I am ignoring the whole Gay Families Are Self Destructive Argument. Why? Cause it's silly, And I don't have bologna for brains). Steps like these are necessary for bringing the masses kicking and screaming into a new renaissance. It's such a shame we couldn't have dealt with this when we gave people the right to marry out of race. Which only happened 38 years ago¬°

DOESNT THAT CREEP YOU THE FUCK OUT?!
